  • Outline of the history of the Independent Laboratory of Horticulture Organization and Economics

    The Laboratory of Organization and Economics (the original name was Zakład Organizacji Socjalistycznych Przedsiębiorstwo Przedsiębiorstw Ogrodniczych) was established in 1954 as a unit at the Department of Organization of Socialist Agricultural Enterprises at the Faculty of Engineering and Economics of Agriculture. In 1956 the name was changed to Zakład Organizacji Produkcji Ogrodniczej, and in 1976 to Zakład Ekonomiki i Organizacji Ogrodnictwa. By the decision of the Rector, on February 1, 1979, the Department was transferred to the Faculty of Horticulture at the Institute of Horticulture. After the institutes were closed in 1982, the Department was transformed into the Department of Organization and Economics of Horticulture. At the end of the 90s, the unit was renamed the Independent Laboratory for the Organization and Economics of Horticulture. In 2019, after administrative changes, the Department of Horticulture and Economics of Horticulture was established, including the Laboratory of Horticulture Organization and Economics. Currently, the functions of the head of the unit are performed by dr inż. Dawid Olewnicki

    Improving the work efficiency of students and academic staff, as well as minimizing stress by arranging selected interiors of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences with potted plants.
